Ooooh what a wicked old bag in the waiting room - it's a good job none of us were there as you said. Glad the doctor and nurse were kind to you though Lylie. Thinking of you.

Hope that you are healing well Lylie: sounds very painful! Ouch! Just about all anyone needs when in pain is to be accosted by ignorant people.

Only just seen this Lylie! So pleased to see that "you don't LOOK ill ............... or (maybe I should be flattered??) .................... OLD!!!!" And that is possible the resiliant spirit in you, which will not be put down. I can't ever see you "become (ing) a crusty old bitch very soon too? - But you might want to start practising the art, for when it is needed?

Hope the healing is still progressing!

Lylie- they must be busing them in from somewhere.

Next time I will lend you MY GRAN! She would give them what for.....

She has some devastating one liners including

"If you had RA, you would expect a chair/ space/service"

"Ignorance is a slight embarrassment to some and a badge of honour to others"

there are plenty more where that came from.

I hope their flu jabs HURT LIKE HELL.

Silly old bat.

Oh Lylie, how infuriating! We should all have come round and ganged up on them all. I must say once or twice people in the street have helped me. I have a habit of dropping my walking stick, and often people will pick it up for me. I must look in need of help, and sometimes if my back is playing up I'm glad of it.

Glad the dr & nurse were considerate and helpful.

Love Lyn

Hi Lylie

Only just caught up with your post and I, like everyone else, am outraged! Good job we weren't all there or there'd have been an absolute riot, and I think the surgery probably has enough to cope with! (I was going to add "with you" there, but I'm much too nice a person BigGrin )

You have my utmost sympathy, I get this c**p every week, when trying to struggle to work on the bus with my walking stick, as I am only 45 years young people usually (I hate to say it) old women in high heels and men who can run up the bus stairs, ask me to move or are very rude saying I should not be seated when a lady with a pensioners free bus pass has to hold on (although if I was able I would willingly give up my seat). It makes me sooo mad, because they consider that I am holding a walking stick (for someone else perhaps). Do you feel invisible sometimes ! hold your head up high you have done nothing wrong and hopefully what goes around comes around for these ignoramuses ... Best wishes Caroline.

Sounds familiar Caroline- happens to me frequently on the tube.

I also had a good one on Saturday at the card making class I went to. I had a support on my wrist as it was very painful, and it was taking me a bit longer to use the equipment. Some old biddy on the same table told me to get a move on 'dear' (she sounded like Kim Woodburn) as there were other people waiting to use it! I just smiled sweetly and pointed out that my hands were painful. was half expectig her to tell me I shouldn't have been on the class in that case.Lucky for her she didn't as I think I would have lost it! She was a pain all through the class ,telling everyone else what to do- in the end quite a few people were very curt with her or ignored her altogether.
